Use the "Latest News Headlines" section on the left-hand side to select a news item to read; the full news item will then be displayed on the right, along with the date that it was posted, in the View News Article module.

While it is not as convenient as having a ton of ready to use banners, we feel that using "off banners" actually benefits the affiliate, as they are able to be unique rather than using the same stuff as everyone else.
